In Memory of Marek Nowakowski
Run and Nordic Walking that combine heart, adrenaline, and an amazing route along the Bierawka River. A short 3+ km loop for beginners and a challenging 9+ km cross-country for those who love challenges, and most importantly, everything is for a noble cause.

The main run is planned for 2 hours.
If you have your own cups, please bring them along. Let's reduce waste.
Bring some extra cash! You'll be able to buy cakes, sausages, corn, popcorn, and cotton candy. All proceeds go directly to OTOZ Animals Inspectorate Gliwice, whose inspectors will be present at the event.
Along the route, 500m from the start, you will find the "Memorial to Those Murdered in the Transit Camp in Nieborowice." We encourage you to bring a candle and light it there. We regularly look after this place, so don't worry — we'll clean up the burned candles. Registration starts at 9:30 and the main run at 12:00, so there will be plenty of time to visit. The kids races will also pass by the memorial.
Race office
The race office is located at the start/finish area. The map below shows the office location, start and finish zones, and designated parking areas.
Please use the designated parking areas and do not block roads or private properties.

Warm-up with an expert
Warm-up led by a specialist from Kliniki Nieborowice – strength & conditioning and GPS coach for the Polish women's national football team.
Open to everyone regardless of skill level – we have spots on both the 3+ km and 9+ km routes.

Charity goal
Together we support the treatment of animals rescued by OTOZ Animals Inspektorat Gliwice.
OTOZ Animals Inspektorat Gliwice
Inspector for Animal Protection OTOZ ANIMALS – Gliwice performs a social function, receives no remuneration for this – it is charity work.
Inspectors operate within the scope regulated by the Animal Protection Act.

Marek Nowakowski
Co-founder of the "Zatyrani" Association, he was above all our dear friend from running trails, mountain hikes, and many other sports challenges. His completion of the Warsaw Marathon was a natural complement to his passion, which he shared with us every day. As a councilman and resident of Nieborowice, he was involved in local community and youth affairs, simply wanting life to be better in his area. We dedicate the NieboCross event to his memory – a man whose modesty and positive energy are an inspiration to us.

We have prepared 4 distances tailored to age groups.

- There is no classification in kids races.
- A guardian must accompany the child. Print and fill out the declaration.

We want to bring joy to those who are just starting their sports adventure, and to those looking for a solid dose of adrenaline. Everything is part of our mission: 100% of fees go to support those in need.
Run & NW · 3+ km
For beginners
Short loop for beginner runners and Nordic Walking enthusiasts. Perfect to feel the atmosphere of a real sporting event while supporting a charity cause.
- Relaxed pace, no rush. Time limit same as for the 9+ km route.
- Perfect distance to start your adventure with running or Nordic Walking.
- Participants aged 16 and 17 are welcome — see the regulations for details.
Cross-country & NW · 9+ km
For challenge seekers
Technical cross-country route along the Bierawka River. Variable terrain, elevation changes, and beautiful views. Runners and Nordic walkers who like to feel the fire in their legs will be satisfied.
- Natural single-tracks, root sections.
- Views of Bierawka Valley and shaded forest sections.
Kids race (under 16)
3 different distances
Short, safe races for youngest participants near the start/finish zone.
- We have prepared 3 different distances tailored to the age of the children. Details will be clarified later and emailed to registrants.

Rescue stories
Learn the stories of animals who were helped thanks to the dedication of OTOZ Animals inspectors.
Max
Rescued in critical condition: extreme body exhaustion, old fracture, and terrible intestinal damage. He underwent 9 surgeries during which doctors repeatedly lost hope. The surgeries alone cost over 20,000 PLN, and treatment bills keep coming every month. Today his condition is stable, though he will remain in foster care for life. He still requires specialized gastro-type food and regular veterinary visits with blood tests performed several times a year.

After treatment The horse came into care in a state of extreme emaciation and illness, yet was used in a riding school until the last moment. The road to regaining his health was long and demanding. Dozens of veterinary visits, stays in clinics, costly treatment. Thanks to this, Patryk was able to join our five mares (who also came under our care in difficult condition). There, in the herd, in well-deserved retirement, he enjoyed freedom for the rest of his days.

Pluto
Rescued in a life-threatening condition. Neglected and left alone on a plot, he suffered terrible pain caused by chronic ear inflammation. To save his life, doctors performed middle ear surgery in one ear and opened the ear canal in the other ear. His traumatic past made Pluto a difficult dog showing aggression. Everything changed when he came under the care of our inspector. Today, Pluto no longer has to fight for survival – he simply enjoys every day in health and happiness.

After treatment Bierawka Valley
The event will take place in the picturesque Bierawka River valley. The 9+ km route runs along the river, offering participants beautiful views and technical challenges. Natural single-tracks, root sections, and World War II trenches create an ideal cross-country route for trail running enthusiasts.

Heart and Crane
The heart symbolizes the charity of the event, and the crane spreads its wings of protection over people dedicating their time to others. Cranes are frequent guests in Nieborowice – in early spring you can hear their loud mating songs, which we hope will accompany participants at the start.
